Abbott Medical Optics, Santa Ana, Calif.-based ophthalmology driven company, has appointed David Tanzer, MD, its chief medical officer and divisional vice president of medical affairs, according to a Vision Monday report.
Dr. Tanzer, board-certified ophthalmologist, earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency and internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Dr. Tanzer holds a cornea, external disease and refractive surgery fellowship from the Doheny Eye Institute, University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
