The California Division of Workers' Compensation proposed revisions to the hospital outpatient department and ambulatory surgical center fee schedule that would eliminate alternative payment methodology, according to a California Ambulatory Surgery Association report.
DWC is also proposing to reduce the additional payment from the current 82 percent of the Hospital Outpatient Department Prospective Payment System fee schedule to 80.8 percent of the HOPD PPS fee schedule, according to the report.
The CASA Board opposes the amendments and it submitted formal comments to the DWC.
