The Ambulatory Surgery Center Association has issued a brief for surgery centers to use as a guide when working with local media and public, and also in the coordination of a consistent industry-wide response, according to the ASCA's Government Update.
The brief — Adverse Media Situation Protocol — is the fourth brief from the ASCA. The others focused on commitment to quality (pdf), physician ownership (pdf), and the ASC Quality and Access Act (pdf).
