The revamped University of Maryland Laurel Medical Center will open June 4, Patch reported May 22.
The $70 million project replaced the former UM Laurel Medical Center at the same location, according to Patch. The 83,000-square-foot center will house a full emergency department and offer outpatient services including minimally invasive surgery, cardiology and behavioral health.
Representatives of the center told Patch the new facility is the first part of a multiphase, comprehensive medical campus to expand services to residents in the surrounding Prince George's, Anne Arundel, Howard and Montgomery counties.
