The Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society held its 2019 Annual Conference & Capital Day March 27-29 in Austin, Texas, sharing trends, strategies and updates regarding same-day surgery.
What you should know:
1. TASCS invited an array of local and national ASC-related speakers to talk about the rise of same-day surgical care and share current trends at the conference.
2. TASCS recognized several entities at its conference, awarding the ASC Patient Advocate Award, Vendor of the Year Award, Rising Star Award and ASC Innovations Award.
3. Concurrently, the TASCS Political Action Committee visited the Texas Senate March 27, where the Senate declared March 27 ASC Awareness Day. The committee held a reception afterward to promote ASC awareness.
4. TASCS board members then visited the Texas Capitol building March 29 to meet with legislators and promote priority issues.
