Sutter Health unveiled plans to develop approximately 1 million square feet across two healthcare campuses in Santa Clara, Calif., as part of an anticipated $800 million investment.
The system will renovate two vacant office spaces, in partnership with the region's 95-year-old Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group, its 2,000 Sutter-aligned physicians and The Sobrato Organization, a real estate developer, according to a Dec. 17 news release.
The two campuses will offer a full spectrum of ambulatory services, including primary and specialty care, imaging, lab and diagnostic services, and ambulatory surgery.
Hundreds of new physicians, advanced practice clinicians and employees will also be added to support this patient care expansion, according to the release.
The Sutter West Santa Clara Campus will total 700,000 square feet and offer orthopedics, cancer care, women's health and heart and vascular, with plans to welcome its first patients in 2027.
The Sutter East Santa Clara Campus will total 300,000 square feet and offer primary care, specialty clinics, advanced diagnostic lab and imaging, primary and specialty pediatric care, and adult and pediatric urgent care.
The first building is expected to open in the latter half of 2025.
