Durango, Colo.-based Animas Surgical Hospital is planning a 73,125-square-foot expansion to accommodate rapid growth, The Durango Herald reports.
Here are five facts:
1. The for-profit surgical hospital's proposed addition of a new building with an ASC is pending city approval. The Durango City Council will see a final plan Aug. 21.
2. ASH plans to consolidate most outpatient services into the three-story building. It would move eye surgery and ENT procedures to the facility.
3. The building would also contain space for leased medical offices and a retail pharmacy.
4. If the project gains city approval, ASH plans to begin construction this fall and open the building in the fall of 2019.
5. ASH is majority-owned by Brentwood, Tenn.-based Surgery Partners, with 17 physician investors.
