Children's Hospital of San Antonio to build pediatric surgery center

Children's Hospital of San Antonio is building a pediatric surgery center at its downtown campus, according to the San Antonio Business Journal.

Funding for the development was kicked off when local philanthropist Harvey Najim donated $5 million.

The new center will support the hospital's minimally-invasive surgery program, which allows infants and children who undergo procedures to recover more quickly and with less pain and scarring than traditional methods of surgery.
