Here are five updates on ASC activity in the South that Becker's has reported on since Nov. 21:
1. Healthcare real estate company Hammes completed a 43,000-square-foot ASC and medical office building in McAllen, Texas.
2. Lafayette-based Louisiana Orthopedic Specialists has a $16.2 million ASC in the works.
3. AdventHealth Daytona Beach (Fla.) installed the final beam on its new ASC and medical office building, which is slated to open in the spring of 2024.
4. Healthcare Resources purchased a 91-acre campus in Hoover, Ala., that it plans to convert into a mixed-use center anchored by an ASC and physician medical offices.
5. Columbia, Md.-based MedStar Medical Group leased 19,739 square feet inside of a four-story Annapolis, Md.-based medical office building where it plans to open an ASC.
