Advocate Aurora wins approval for $228M medical center, medical office building — 4 insights

The Mount Pleasant (Wis.) Planning Commission unanimously approved Milwaukee-based Advocate Aurora Health's $228 million medical center and medical office building proposal, the Journal Times reports.

What you should know:

1. Developers will build the campus on 86 acres of land in Mount Pleasant.

2. The medical center will be 198,000 square feet, while the medical office building will be 98,000 square feet.

3. The office building will house outpatient services, 24 specialty provides, a sports medicine center, rehabilitation services and a small conference center.

4. Advocate Aurora Health plans to break ground on the developments in late summer or early fall. The campus could open in early 2022.
