Just two weeks into 2024, several medical office buildings have already started popping up or are due to pop up in the coming months, including three in unusual places:
1. The Portsmouth, N.H., city planning board approved a three-story medical office building at the former Pease Air Force Base.
2. Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network acquired the site of the former Frederick's Flowers & Gifts in Hilltown Township, Pa., for $8.25 million and plans to convert the property into a medical office building.
3. A single-family home in Brick, N.J., that has an attached commercial component could become a medical office building.
