Nancy Akers, RN, BSN, CLNC, is a director of operations for PINNACLE III and the administrator of Foothills Surgery Center in Boulder, Colorado. She joined PINNACLE III in 2015. Judy Barsamian-Armstrong, RN, serves as administrator and CEO of San Luis Obispo Surgery Center, a Surgical Care Affiliates-managed center. She previously served as director of nurses with SCA. Jennifer Collins is administrator at Parkway Surgery Center in Hagerstown, Md., affiliated with Blue Chip Surgical Partners. She has held the position for more than six years. Physicians at the center are focused on spine surgery and pain management.
Elizabeth Convery, RN, is a board -certified holistic nurse, certified yoga instructor and administrator of Teaneck (N.J.) Surgical Center. She was appointed in January 2014 and previously served as the center's director of nursing. Her background is in OR and labor and delivery nursing.
Dan Corbett, MBA, CASC, is the administrator of Pacific Hills Surgery Center in Laguna Hills, Calif., a role he has held since April. Previously, he was administrator at Reagan Street Surgery Center in Los Alamitos, Calif. He has also served as administrator with Orangewood Surgical Center in Orange, Calif.
Dean Daringer is the administrator of Surgery Center of Chester County, Pa. He has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare administration, specializing in joint venture ASC start-ups, as well as problematic centers. He previously worked for Quorum and CHI, as well as management groups such as ACCA and Relative Health. Since coming to the center, he has increased the bottom line more than 10,000 percent the first year and has saved the company over $250,000 by re-negotiating contracts. He is currently working on a deal to double the physician partners for the center.

Karen Reiter, RN, CNOR, RNFA,CASC, is the COO of DISC Sports & Spine Center, which includes two outpatient surgery centers — Diagnostic & Interventional Surgery Center in Marina del Rey, Calif.; and DISC Surgery Center at Newport Beach (Calif.). The centers offer a wide-array of surgical services for musculoskeletal conditions. She was integral in the inception and accreditation process of the DISC surgery centers and she now directly oversees their operation along with three affiliated offices. Previously, Ms. Reiter served as vice president of sales and marketing for RSB Spine. She began her career as an ICU/CCU RN more than 30 years ago.

Catherine Sayers, BSN, MSHA, a director of operations for PINNACLE III, has developed or managed 13 single and multispecialty ASCs throughout the country. She currently serves as the administrator for Skyline Endoscopy Center, a single-specialty GI endoscopy center located in Loveland, Colorado. Prior to working for PINNACLE III, Ms. Sayers was director of surgical services at the Orthopaedic Center of the Rockies in Fort Collins, Colorado where she managed the ASC and a 10-bed recovery center.
Aaron Shechter oversees the Hackensack (N.J.) Endoscopy Center and the Endoscopy Center of Bergen County in Paramus, N.J. He recently managed the partnership of both centers with United Surgical Partners International and Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center. In 2013, Aaron won the CEO Award, which is an annual honor presented to a single USPI administrator.
Robert Schaal, PT, is the executive director of the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute in Columbia, Mo. It is central Missouri's largest freestanding orthopedic center. Mr. Schaal, with a background in physical therapy, has introduced outpatient physical therapy to the center's offerings.

Ms. Tamburo joined the center in 2011 as the assistant administrator and business office manager. In 2014, she became administrator. She continues to fill the role of business office manager. She is currently pursuing her MHA at Colorado State University.
Jill Thrasher, CASC, is administrator at Precision Surgery Center of Dallas, a position she has held since March 2008. Bradley A. Tieszen, MPA, serves as chief administrative officer of USC Ambulatory Surgical Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. He has been with the organization for more than three years and in that time has led the center through a successful AAAHC accreditation survey. The surgery center performs more than 3,000 cases on an annual basis. Mr. Tieszen is actively involved in the continued excellence of surgical operations, including representing the surgery center in an ongoing regional benchmarking study in the Midwest. Charles Wallace, MBA, is the administrator of the Surgical Center of Connecticut in Bridgeport. Mr. Wallace has been with the center since it first opened its doors in 2013. The center is affiliated with Merritt Healthcare. Mr. Wallace completed his MBA at the University of New Haven in West Haven, Conn.
Daniel Weber joined Plaza ASC in January of 2014 as the administrator, overseeing the final construction phase, staffing, equipment acquisition, and accreditation process. He has held the position since 2006 and previously served as CEO of Eyecare Medical Group in Portland. His additional experience includes time as executive director and general counsel of the Maine Health Care Finance Commission.
Cindy Young, RN, BSN, CASC, is the administrative director of Farmington (Mo.) Surgery Center. She has been with the center for 16 years. Ms. Young is also an Ambulatory Surgery Center Association board member.
