Question: What healthcare disruptor are you the most concerned about?

1. Anesthesia availability
2. Wegovy and similar types of medications and how they impact day of surgery readiness in regard to true NPO and stomach contents.
Marie Yarborough. Administrative Director of Sequoia Surgical Pavilion (Walnut Creek, Calif.): I’m worried about the mass exodus of privately owned physician practices being incorporated into major healthcare systems. For those hospital systems that encourage a partnership with freestanding ASCs, I’m hopeful, but there are plenty of healthcare systems that knowingly remove affordable options in their community in order to sustain their bottom line.
