Clifford Adlerz is the new interim CEO of Surgery Partners, effective immediately.
Here are five key points:
1. Mr. Adlerz's predecessor is Michael Doyle, who is stepping down. Mr. Doyle will continue his role as director of the board.
2. In his new role, Mr. Adlerz will be a board of directors' member.
3. Equipped with more than two decades of experience, Mr. Adlerz was the president of Symbion Healthcare, which Surgery Partners acquired in 2014.
4. He was a division vice president of Hospital Corporation of America and was a member of National Ambulatory Surgery Center Association's board of directors.
5. Surgery Partners' board of directors is in the midst of searching for a permanent CEO.
