With a nursing career spanning 60 years, Tupelo-based North Mississippi Medical Center Ambulatory Surgery Center's Betty Reedy, RN, is still practicing at 81 years old, according to The Clarion-Ledger.

3. The nursing field has evolved throughout her career as there was less personnel available to cover a variety of tasks, according to Ms. Reedy. When Ms. Reedy started her career in the 1950s, surgical supplies were mainly made of stainless steel.
