Bradenton, Fla.-based Coastal Orthopedics hired Iris Bernier as the director of revenue cycle and promoted Jo-Ellen Converse, RN, to ASC director.

1. In her new role, Ms. Bernier will be tasked with managing all aspects of the practice's billing cycle.
2. Ms. Converse will assume responsibility for the ASC's day-to-day operations. Her role entails planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating, staff utilization, budgeting, controlling and marketing the facility's services.
3. Ms. Bernier is a former operations director. She helped review financials, coordinate client training, manage customer service teams and establish benchmarks for a healthcare solutions provider.
4. Ms. Converse joined Coastal Orthopedics' East Surgery Center in August 2017 as a registered nurse. She previously served as an ASC's clinical coordinator for three years.
5. Seventeen orthopedic surgeons and pain management physicians practice at Coastal Orthopedics. The organization has three offices and two ASCs.
