10 numbers scaring ASCs

Here are 10 numbers scaring ASCs right now:

55%: The percentage that facility fees for colonoscopy procedures covered by private health insurance are at hospitals compared to those at ASCs as of May 2023, according to a Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health study published in JAMA Health Forum.

43%. The percentage of ASCs with an operating budget of $3 million or more in 2023, compared with 32% the previous year, according to a survey from OR Manager.

47%. The percentage of respondents that reported their operating budget had increased in the last year; only 12% reported a decrease.
