The Oregonian recognized Medford-based Surgery Center of Southern Oregon as a Top Workplace for the first time.
What you should know:
1. The surgery center sees more than 15,000 patients annually.
2. The center has a $6.7 million annual budget, split between wages, benefits and education.
3. Gastrointestinal technician Sarah Smoker said while the work can be hard, the benefits and work environment offered by the center more than make up for it.
4. Among the center's many employment benefits are a 401(k) match, a performance-based profit-sharing gift and several other perks throughout the year.
