In a recent press release, Regent Surgical Health announced that Thomas Crossen has joined the company as Chief Development Officer, an addition that strengthens Regent’s position as one of the largest private joint venture operators of surgery centers, including 23 U.S. surgical facilities, 18 hospital joint ventures, and nine total joint replacement centers.
“We are pleased to welcome Thomas to the team and look forward to leveraging his background and experience to bolster Regent’s growth efforts,” says Regent Chief Executive Officer Chris Bishop. “As the healthcare environment continues to evolve, the leadership skills demonstrated throughout Thomas’s career are exactly what we need to meet the challenges ahead and take our company to the next level.”
Crossen’s experience includes more than a decade of healthcare leadership including responsibility for strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and health system partnership strategies. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Development at National Cardiovascular Partners in Houston. In his new role at Regent Surgical Health, Crossen will strengthen Regent’s business strategy and drive growth for Regent’s ambulatory surgery center management portfolio.
“Regent sees where the healthcare market is going and is well-positioned for continued growth,” says Crossen. “Like Regent, I believe partnerships with hospitals will be essential as an outpatient platform becomes more critical in the value-based care healthcare environment. The company’s leadership is strong, and I’m excited to join a team with an impressive track record for growth and a foundation that is unmatched.”
