Regent Surgical Health named Jay Colehour vice president of business development.
Here are five things to know:
1. Mr. Colehour is responsible for growing Regent's portfolio of health system and ASC joint ventures in his new role.
2. Prior to joining Regent, Mr. Colehour spent time as director of market development at Zimmer Biomet Spine, where he gained medical expertise and a deep understanding of the healthcare market. He joined the company with their acquisition of LDR in 2016.
"Jay's healthcare business background and clinical spine experience make him uniquely suited for his new role at Regent," said Regent CEO Chris Bishop.
3. Mr. Colehour spent four years in active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps before earning his doctor of chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Ill.
4. Mr. Colehour joined Regent, one of the largest private joint venture ASC operators in the U.S., due to its leadership team and culture. He hopes to make an "immediate impact on the business," and said in a statement, "Long term, I'm committed to the idea of transforming healthcare delivery and improving the patient's overall experience throughout outstanding outcomes and decreased costs."
5. Regent, which has added or opened three surgery centers this year, named Bob Ryan COO last month.
