ASC leaders supervise fewer employees than they have in previous years, according to OR Manager's 2019 Salary/Career Survey.
OR Manager collected data from 196 ASC leaders from March 28 to May 31. Respondents were either OR Manager subscribers or part of an external list.

2. Clinical versus nonclinical staff in 2019
Average number of clinical staff: 25
Average number of nonclinical staff: 7
3. Percent managing one to five operating rooms
2019: 77 percent
2018: 73 percent
4. Percent managing two ORs
2019: 24 percent
5. Percent managing more than 10 ORs
2019: 7 percent
2018: 3 percent
