1. Before joining Surgery Partners, Mr. DeVeydt served as the executive vice president and CFO of Anthem for 11 years. In that role, he oversaw the company's financial operations, and served in other leadership roles including chief strategy officer, chief of staff to the chairman and chief accounting officer.
2. Mr. DeVeydt was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a multinational accounting and consulting firm. In that role, he focused on healthcare and managed care sector of the business. Mr. Deveydt also serves on the Board of Directors of Myovant Sciences and NiSource.
3. He was named the Best Managed Care CFO by Institutional Investor in 2008, 2011 and 2012. Mr. Deveydt was also recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal as 2011's CFO of the Year in Public Companies.
