The Oregon Clinic's Gastroenterology South Division broke ground on a new location for a combined clinic and ASC in Newberg, Ore., according to The Newberg Graphic.
Here are five things to know:
1. The clinic filed permits with Newberg, Ore., and broke ground on the location, with construction expected to begin soon.
2. The new facility is expected to cost $7.5 million and span 17,200 square feet for medical office space; another 9,000 square feet will be available for future expansion.
3. Gastroenterology South Division has been operating part time out of Providence Newberg Medical Center and expects the new facility to shorten wait times and allow the physicians to see a higher volume of patients.
4. Sixteen of the practice's physicians will own the new building, which is expected to create around 60 to 100 new jobs.
5. The proposed new facility is two stories and built primarily of brick with metal panels, wood and glass.
