The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy has received a $1.5 million donation from Olympus for its IT&T Capital Campaign, according to an ASGE news release.
Olympus' donation is the largest to date for the campaign, which is raising funds to construct a new GI training center in Downer's Grove, Ill. The facility will have up to 16 endoscopy towers for training, conference space and breakout rooms as well as video and satellite capabilities.
The donation is a general donation and will be made in increments of $300,000 annually over the next five years.
