Sioux City, Iowa-based Unity Point Health-St. Luke's has begun offering gastroenterology services, expanding to meet patient demand in the area, according to a Dec. 5 report from local NBC affiliate KTIV.
Gastroenterologist Ben Pottebaum, DO, has joined the system to provide patient care, including digestive care and colon cancer screenings.
The goal is to continue growing the GI department in months to come, according to the report. The system has already added GI-focused advanced registered nurse practitioners to the team this fall.
