Spencer Dorn, MD, is the vice chief of gastroenterology at Chapel Hill-based University of North Carolina Health.
In 2005, Dr. Dorn joined UNC's Center for Functional GI Disorders, where he works to improve patient experience and care. He is also an associate professor of medicine at the University of North Carolina. His research focuses on GI disorders and health services.
Dr. Dorn earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Brooklyn College of Medicine in New York City. He later earned his public health master's degree in epidemiology and a master of healthcare administration from UNC. Dr. Dorn also completed his GI fellowship at UNC.
