Geisinger Gastroenterology/Endoscopy-Montoursville (Pa.) has been accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, according to a Sept. 7 report from the Williamsport Sun-Gazette.
Over 6,600 ambulatory health locations nationwide have received this status by meeting nationally recognized standards for high-quality healthcare set by the AAAHC.
The clinic underwent a self-assessment and an onsite survey by AAAHC surveyors who presented best practices to help improve care and services.
Geisinger Montoursville also works on ongoing compliance and continuous improvement while implementing policies and procedures that improve quality and focus on self-evaluation, according to the report.
