Gastro Health closes surgery centers in 5 counties ahead of Hurricane Dorian

With Hurricane Dorian miles away from the Florida coast, Miami-based Gastro Health has canceled services in five counties.

All Gastro Health care centers and surgery centers in the following Florida counties canceled appointments and procedures scheduled for Sept. 3:

  • Broward County
  • Miami-Dade County
  • Orange County
  • Palm Beach County
  • Seminole County

Centers affected include Ambulatory Endoscopy Center of Central Florida in Orlando, Baptist Health Endoscopy Center at Flagler in West Palm Beach, Baptist Health Endoscopy Center at Miami Beach, Kendall Endoscopy Center, The Outpatient Center of Boynton Beach and Westland Endoscopy Center in Hialeah.

Hurricane Dorian began moving toward the U.S. on Tuesday morning after ravaging the Bahamas, according to CBS News. It was a Category 2 storm as of 11 a.m. ET Tuesday.

Gastro Health is providing closure updates on its website and contacting patients affected by scheduling changes.
