The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy's Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program gave 27 endoscopy units a certificate of recognition for meeting ASGE guidelines on privileging, quality assurance, endoscope reprocessing and CDC infection control guidelines as well as completing an ASGE educational course, according to a news release.
The 27 units join more than 400 that have already been recognized by the program. The certificate of recognition award is granted for a three-year period and is renewable.
