The American Gastroenterological Association has again partnered with CDC's state Colorectal Cancer Control Programs to conduct a screening and awareness event during Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in March 2013, according to an AGA news item.
The event provides an opportunity for AGA members to perform colonoscopies on uninsured and underinsured individuals, aged 50 and over. The state cancer control programs match gastroenterologists in their areas with patients who are in need of the free screenings.
CRCCP programs in the following states are interested in participating in the screening and awareness event: Arizona, Florida, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Utah.
