Miami-based Gastro Health entered into an agreement to acquire Longwood, Fla.-based Giles Gastroenterology Center, doing business as Gastroenterology Specialists. Gastro Health also acquired Birmingham, Ala.-based Southeast Gastro, its first out-of-state acquisition.

Regional GI, Main Line Gastroenterology Associates and Digestive Disease Associates will merge in a $130 million deal with private equity firm Amulet Capital.

Amulet Capital Partners formed US Digestive Health, a gastrointestinal-focused practice management organization, through its investment in three Pennsylvania GI practices.

Jaimson, Pa.-based Physicians Endoscopy and Silver Spring, Md.-based Capital Digestive Care entered into a strategic partnership Aug. 1, forming a management platform.

Physicians Endoscopy also entered into a joint venture with Peninsula Regional Health System to open Delmarva Endoscopy Center in Ocean Pines, Md.
