About a third of healthcare employees are planning to look for a new job within the next 12 months, according to the Randstad Healthcare Employee Confidence Index.
The 2012 survey is based on responses from 252 healthcare employees, including physicians, administrators and other healthcare professionals. Here are some other key findings:
• 47 percent of respondents believed there are fewer healthcare jobs available, while 18 percent said there are more.
• 58 percent of respondents felt confident in their employability, saying they were confident they could find a job.
• 66 percent of healthcare employees felt confident in the financial health of their company.
• 80 percent of employees said it's unlikely that they will lose their job compared with 8 percent who felt it was likely.
