PC Magazine has released a list of nine new "life-saving technologies" for physicians, focusing primarily on new smartphone and tablet apps.
The list includes the Dr. Chrono iPad app, which provides access to electronic health records, patient check-in and paperless billing; the WiThings Blood Pressure Monitor, which helps physicians keep track of patients' blood pressure when connected to an Apple device; and a vital signs camera app that assesses patient blood flow by color change in the face and breathing by the rising and falling of the chest.
