Vamsee Potluri is Perry Point-based VA Maryland Health Care System's new director of ambulatory care operations.
Here are five things to know:
1. As director, Mr. Potluri is charged with overseeing the system's ambulatory surgery, mental health, specialty care and primary care services.
2. He will also direct the system's efforts to integrate its ambulatory clinics into efficient outpatient operations.
3. In his new role, Mr. Potluri will collaborate with other leaders within the health system to create strategic plans that improve care and assess clinical business activities.
4. He previously served as the health system's business manager of its Ambulatory & Emergency Care Clinical Center. As business manger, he designed, created and implemented the Clinical Operations Dashboards.
5. VAMHCS provides care to more than 52,000 veterans each year.
"I'm looking forward to working with the executive leadership team, clinical center directors, administrators, managers and front line staff across the VA Maryland Health Care System to improve access, quality and efficiency of the care we provide to our veterans," Mr. Potluri said.
