University Hospitals of Cleveland entered into a multi-year contract with Sectra, Swedish-based international medical imaging IT company, to implement its vendor neutral archive solution.
Here are four observations:
1. The VNA solution addresses patient imaging throughout the University Hospitals system.
2. At first, the VNA solution will focus on radiology, cardiology, dermatology and ophthalmology imaging.
3. The archive will manage 1.5 million studies per year.
4. University Hospitals includes 16 hospitals and more than 30 outpatient facilities. It offers healthcare services throughout 15 counties in Northeast Ohio.
