The MJ Murdock Charitable Trust gave $144,000 to the Arco, Idaho-based Lost Rivers Medical Center to construct a new surgical center, Local News 8 reported.
The Lost Rivers Medical Center surgery center construction project would bring surgical services to the rural community.
The shell for the surgical center was completed, and hospital officials are finalizing the equipment and interior design.
"Their generous gift will help us to realize our dream of providing world class surgical services in our underserved area," Lost Rivers CEO Brad Huerta told Local News 8.
