Houston Physicians' Hospital welcomes new CEO: 5 key notes

Houston Physicians' Hospital in Webster, Texas, named Nicholas J. Crafts, FACHE, the new CEO.

"It's an incredible opportunity to become CEO of Houston Physicians' Hospital," said Mr. Crafts. "In this role, I'll work closely with our physicians and hospital staff to ensure we remain one of the nation's leading healthcare facilities. Definitely, we'll continue to find new opportunities which keep our patients on the leading edge of medical technology and care."

Here are five things to know about Mr. Crafts.

1. He has held leadership roles for hospitals throughout Texas, including CEO, COO and administrative director of operations titles.

2. He has been chairman of the board for the Cimarron Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross.

3. In addition to his work in executive leadership roles, Mr. Crafts has been published in several healthcare publications and served with many associations.

4. In his new role, Mr. Crafts will guide Houston Physicians' Hospital and Houston Physicians' Surgery Center to continued success.

5. Mr. Crafts earned his undergraduate at Louisiana State University-Shreveport and his MBA and MHA from the University of Houston Clear Lake.
