Bill Lewis, MD, MBA, will be the new chief medical officer of GlobalMed, a connected healthcare delivery company.
Here are five notes:
1. Dr. Lewis will offer clinical expertise and executive strategic oversight in his new position.
2. Product management, integration of healthcare systems, reimbursement and workflow fall under his responsibility.
3. With 20 years of experience as the senior vice president of medical operations at Concentra Health Services, Dr. Lewis oversaw more than 400 physicians in 10 states with 140 clinics.
4. At his position with Concentra, Dr. Lewis implemented telemedicine programs that helped with treatment of 60 percent of primary care cases.
5. Board-certified in emergency medicine, he received his medical degree from The Ohio State University and completed a residency at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.
