Here are seven updates on ASC companies from the past week.
Sheridan, the physician services division of AmSurg, acquired Boca Raton, Fla.-based Resolute Anesthesia and Pain Solutions and Clermont, Fla.-based South Lake Anesthesia Services. AmSurg also acquired AllegiantMD, a radiology services provider in Tampa, Fla.
On June 23, AmSurg hosted a reveal party for Make-A-Wish recipient, Fiona. AmSurg employees made contributions from April to June to send Fiona on a journey to Disneyland with her family.
Gastroenterology Consultants of Augusta physicians and Physicians Endoscopy opened Augusta Endoscopy Center in Evans, Ga. The ASC's 11 gastroenterologists are projected to perform 8,000 procedures each year.
Tenet Healthcare shares traded at $28.88 per share, up 3.3 percent, during the week of July 5 to July 8.
Regent Surgical Health named Christopher Stine corporate compliance officer. In his new role, Mr. Stine will work to make sure the company's compliance program adheres to federal and state guidelines. He will also maintain and monitor Regent's compliance program.
Compass Surgical Partners named Susan Kizirian vice president of operations and facility development. Ms. Kizirian previously served as a senior manager with ECG Management Consultants. Her expertise includes ASC workflow solutions, cost-benefit analysis, compliance and center development.
Jefferies Group analyst B. Tanquilut projects Surgery Partners will report earnings per share of $0.14 for the second quarter of 2016. The analysts previously had a forecast of $0.16 EPS.
