The Ambulatory Surgery Center Association released a new report on ASC administrator salary and benefits.
There were 846 participants in the study, which includes data on 20 ASC job positions. Here are five key statistics from the report:
1. There was an increase in ASCs paying administrator bonuses from 69 percent in 2012 to 84 percent in 2015.
2. The head of the nursing staff receives a bonus in 74 percent of ASCs, up from 60 percent in 2012.
3. Bonuses for the business office manager now occur at 73 percent of ASCs, compared to 61 percent three years ago.
4. The materials manager receives a bonus in 63 percent of ASCs, compared with 47 percent in 2012.
5. The amount of bonuses decreased on average from 2012 to 2015; the average business office manager and materials manager bonus decreased 25 percent over the past three years. The average nursing director bonus was down 10 percent and administrator bonus down 3 percent.
