Wichita (Kan.) Nephrology Group is opening a new clinic and surgery center in the eastern part of the city due to increased patient volume, according to a Wichita Business Journal report.
Here are five things to know:
1. The new 6,500-square-foot facility, called ReVask Center, is expected to be complete this summer and include eight exam rooms.
2. In addition to ReVask Center, Wichita Nephrology is expanding and remodeling its clinic. When the capital projects are finished this summer, the practice will have doubled its capacity to include 18 total exam rooms.
3. The vascular center will be 3,600 square feet that will expand surgical capacity. The group reported 19,000 outpatient visits in 2016 and expects to continue growing.
4. Wichita Nephrology expects to spend around $2.5 million on the project, including equipment, land and construction costs, with Kanza Bank financing all projects.
5. Wichita Nephrology launched in 1976 and includes services such as vascular access, dialysis, kidney stone treatment and chronic kidney disease care.
