Through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Government handed over a comprehensive outpatient faulty to improve care in northern Ethiopia, according to Star Africa.
Here are four highlights:
1. The United States provided $9.1 million for the facility’s construction.
2. The outpatient center is located at the Gondar University Hospital.
3. Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and U.S. Ambassador to Ethiopia Patricia Haslach inaugurated the facility in July 2014.
4. Gorlander University Hospital serves 5 million to 7 million patients.
