Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn., has agreed to purchase Kentucky Lake Surgery Center from a group of local physicians, according to a Paris Post-Intelligencer report.
The hospital board unanimously approved a resolution to purchase the surgery center during its regular meeting on Monday. The purchase will be made with a $7 million, 15-year variable rate loan at 0.89 percent.
The cost includes the center's $5.8 million purchase price, as well as the cost of the $1.2 million da Vinci surgical equipment at the center. Hospital and ASC leaders said the purchase will improve the relationship between the local hospital and physicians, according to the report.
