Towson, Md.-based SurgCenter Development has continued expanding its outpatient complex spine program in 2019. Read more. 

Bozeman, Mont., city commissioners approved Bozeman Health's $20 million same-day surgery center and clinic project July 1. Addison, Texas-based United Surgical Partners International will manage the center, which a Bozeman Health spokesperson said is a joint venture between the health system, physicians and USPI.

UnitedHealth Group named Daniel Schumacher president and COO of Eden Prairie, Minn.-based Optum in an organizationwide leadership transition.

Covenant Surgical Partners acquired Los Angeles-based De La Peña Eye Clinic, expanding its national portfolio of eye care practices and surgery centers. 

Stephen Kinsley, vice president of payer engagement and strategy for Surgical Care Affiliatesdiscussed payer strategies with Becker's ASC Review.

Annapolis, Md.-based Chesapeake Eye Care rebranded as Vision Innovation Partners after acquiring majority ownership of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.-based Eye Care Specialists.
