Summit Health named its surgery center in Chambersburg, Pa., after retired Chambersburg Hospital physician Roy A. Himelfarb, MD, on Friday, according to a Penn Live report.
The Dr. Roy A. Himelfarb Surgery Center was formally dedicated Friday in a ceremony for the physician. Dr. Himelfarb, an oral surgeon, retired after more than three decades of services to his patients, Chambersburg Hospital and the surgery center.
According to the report, Dr. Himelfarb was integral to the creation of the surgery center in 2000. He was described by his patients and colleagues as someone who provided invaluable leadership at the surgery center.
