Nampa, Idaho-based Saltzer Health will join Salt Lake City-based nonprofit regional health system Intermountain Healthcare, according to a Sept. 29 statement.
Saltzer Health, which has nearly 80 employees, has been owned by Ball Ventures Ahlquist since early 2019, the statement said.
Intermountain's service area covers Burley, Idaho, and its insurance arm, SelectHealth, covers more than 104,000 residents in Idaho, the statement said.
"Intermountain and Saltzer Health desire the same thing — to provide great access to the highest quality care at an affordable cost," Ed Castledine, CEO of Saltzer Health said in a statement.
The arrangement between Intermountain and BVA was finalized Oct. 1, according to a spokesperson for Intermountain Healthcare.
