Vascular surgeons Jason Jundt, MD, and Wayne Nelson, MD, are building a new surgery center in Bend, Ore., according to The Bulletin.
Here are six things to know:
1. The 11,000-square-foot property is scheduled to be complete in June. The building will feature offices and an ASC with two operating rooms.
2. Oregon Vascular Specialists is currently at a temporary location in Bend.
3. In September 2017, the property owner Central Oregon Vascular Institute obtained a building permit with a value of $3.5 million.
4. Oregon Vascular Specialists will perform minor outpatient surgeries, including varicose vein removal, angioplasty and stent placement.
5. The center will be the only vascular surgery and vascular surgery-related ultrasound lab in Central Oregon and the region's sole office-based interventional vascular lab.
6. The practice has 15 employees and expects to hire another vascular surgeon in the summer.
