Unity Health System, based in Rochester, N.Y., is set to acquire Linden Oaks Surgery Center in Rochester, according to a Democrat and Chronicle report.
The New York Department of Health recently approved the acquisition of the ambulatory surgery center, pending the submission of additional information. Unity expects to close on the acquisition on Feb. 29.
Unity Health System is acquiring the ASC for $8.5 million. The health system will create a new nonprofit to run the facility.
Linden Oaks Surgery Center, which is managed by Ambulatory Healthcare Strategies, features four operating rooms and four procedure rooms, according to the ASC's website. The ASC performs procedures in a number of specialties including ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, and ophthalmology.
