Rochester (N.Y.) General Health System will develop a new ambulatory surgery center in a building in Penfield, N.Y., it will acquire as part of its purchase of the Linden Oaks Medical Campus, according to a news release.
RGHS intends to relocate its Lattimore Surgical Center in Rochester to the facility and add 29,000 square feet of space to the building.
The new surgery center will feature six outpatient surgery rooms and two procedure rooms, according to a WHAM report. It is scheduled to open in late 2013.
The Linden Oaks Medical Campus is comprised of three medical office buildings with a combined 190,000 square feet of clinical space. RGHS's plans for the three buildings include a full-service urgent care facility, an expanded oncology center, offices of primary care physicians and specialists, physical/occupational therapy and laboratory services, among others.
RGHS acquired the four properties for a combined cost of approximately $40 million from Gianniny Associates.
