NorthBay Healthcare, based in Vacaville, Calif., will completely acquire the Surgery Center at NorthBay VacaValley in Vacaville, Calif., according to The Reporter.
Here are five things to know about the transaction.
1. The Surgery Center at NorthBay is a joint venture between NorthBay and several physicians. After the transaction, the health system will completely own the center.
2. The surgery center is 12,000 square feet and houses three operating rooms, three procedure rooms and two pain management suites.
3. The Surgery Center at NorthBay opened in 2007 on the NorthBay Vaca Valley Hospital campus.
4. The surgery center's name will remain the same for the time being. The center's employees will become NorthBay employees beginning this month, according to the report.
5. The surgery center will operate as a separate division of NorthBay Healthcare Group, overseen by Susan Gornall, senior director of perioperative services, wound care and the ASC.
